As a mother of three it has been my passion and challenge to provide the essential elements for each child to become the best of who they are. Together with June Salin, we have designed the Manadoob Program to empower children to develop their self-esteem and further their social and emotional growth. Our goal is to help children face life’s challenges, to support each child’s unique character development and to encourage children to care for, and reach out to, the world around them.
I have dedicated the past twelve years of my life to the study of therapeutic solutions to child behavioral and developmental challenges. My focus has been the hands-on practicing of floor time therapy, with over 3,000 hours of active participation and therapy sessions. Having studied the methodology of notable child psychologist and behaviorist, Dr. Stanley Greenspan, I also have experience with a number of cutting-edge techniques for child development in the areas of speech/communication, occupational therapy, music therapy, behavior modification and physical/special movement techniques.
In addition to my career as a mother of three, I worked for over fifteen years at Haim Saban’s, Saban Entertainment, rising to the position of Vice President, Saban International. As a producer of internationally distributed films/television programs and a network programmer, I have always believed that the media can enrich as well as entertain. And, that storytelling can be a wonderful tool to educate both children and adults. To that end, I became the Executive Producer of Showtime’s Literacy in Media award-winning film, “Enslavement: the True Story of Fanny Kemble,” which also won the Cine Award for achieving Cine’s “high standards of excellence in film and video production.” I later became Executive Director at Buena Vista International, a Walt Disney Company before establishing my own production and marketing company, Blue Engine Entertainment, Inc. Currently, I am Executive Producer of Spyglass’/Screen Gems’ motion picture, “The Vow” starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum focusing on the development of self-esteem of a young woman who struggles to find herself after a life-changing accident.
As Wella says, “Life is full of challenges…” It is my hope that the Manadoob Program to enhance self-esteem will help children develop the tools they need to be happy and fulfilled, and that they remember to Sadiki – to know they can be all they dream of becoming.
